Shopbop’s Friends and Family sale is one of my favorites of the year because it is a great deal and I can always find what I am looking for. It is probably my favorite online place to shop and that is saying a lot. I wanted to take this time also to address a misconception that I think some readers and hate readers of this blog think….
I have always loved more higher end clothes but have no always been able to purchase them. My parents raised me to shop sales and not use material possessions and wealth as a means of self confidence. Starting this blog probably made people think that all I did was shop and that I was a pretty shallow person. I had a friend tell me that she knows someone that goes to the mall during her lunch break and probably shops more than me. The truth is that I haven’t been to a mall in over a year a half, probably since starting this blog. I know how fortunate that I am to work with my favorite stores and companies and I do not take that for granted. I also have been open about the money that I get for clothes and that does not come out of my pocket. Often times, I am gifted the clothes that I wear from my favorite places or I am allowed a budget from them to shop their collections. Before this blog, that would not have been the case and purchases came out of pocket.
I have always spent more money than I should on sunglasses but I justify it because I really do wear them more than anything in my closet and I take such good care of them that they will last me for years. My mom usually buys me a handbag for Christmas but that has been a tradition and usually the only money that is spent on bags. I am not going to apologize for getting gifts because I think that every girl would accept them. I know there will be a time when I have to retire this blog but for now, I’m going to enjoy the great opportunities is brings me.
Enough of my rambling…I hope you all have a great Monday:)
