Having good quality brushes, not only allows your makeup application to be 100x better but it does save you money on having to re-buy cheaper brushes. I’ve had a lot of the these brushes for years.   Here is a list of my current favorite makeup brushes that I can’t live without. I didn’t include the beauty blender because that’s technically not a brush but if you do not already have that, it is one of the best ways to apply makeup too. Most of the brushes that I’ve listed are really affordable. The ones that I’ve splurged on are totally worth it though, especially the concealer and foundation brushes.

Foundation brushes:

IT Cosmetics Heavenly Skin Brush #704- I use this brush with the Confidence in a Compact and it applies evenly and makes cream makeup easy to use.

Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush– If i’m not using my beauty blender for foundation, then I use this brush. Its so easy to use, blends the foundation so easy you don’t even have to really think about what your doing, it’s that easy.  I like applying foundation with this brush and then blending out with a beauty blender.

Avon Pro Concealer Brush– This brush is only $7 and has lasted me years. I use is for blemishes and sometimes ever for eye shadow application.

Sonia Kashuk Concealer brush #110– This one is also super cheat at $6 and I wash it after every use with warm water and soap and the bristles are still soft!

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Brush– The one that I use from UD came in the Naked palette years ago but I’ve linked a similar one. These brushes last for a very long time if you take care of them. These synthetic brushes also don’t hold on to gross bacteria  so it’s easier to clean and more hygienic.

IT Cosmetics Eye Shadow Brush– This eyeshadow brush came in the “All that Glitters Brush Set.” If you ever want to buy a brush set, It Cosmetics makes the best ones. This brush is perfect for applying a base color.

Under Eye Concealer:

Morphe E8- Detail Contour-As you all know by now, my under eye circles are terrible. This brush works so well with the Bye Bye under eye concealer. It helps fill out those hollow areas under my eyes and doesn’t absorb the concealer.  Plus it’s only $6! Depending on the day, I will go over my under eyes again with a more liquid concealer using my beauty blender.

ELF angled Blush Brush– This one is also super cheat at $4 and I’ve had it for years. The shape is great and it blends beautifully.

Powder Brush

It Cosmetics Brilliant Powder Brush: This one also came in the set with the eyeshadow brush. It is so soft, round, and tapered so it is perfect for applying powder.

Bronzer Brush:

BareMinerals Flawless Application Face Brush– I’ve had this brush for over 10 years now and it serves so many purposes. Right now, I use it for bronzer but I know people that use it for blush and powder too.

Anything Brushes:

Bare Minerals Handy Buki Brush– You can use this brush for powder foundation, blush, and bronzer. It is a great all around brush that serves many purposes!

Tweezerman Pointed Foundation Brush– This provides great coverage for creams, liquids, and primers. It is great for heard to reach areas areas around eyes, nose, mouth—and tricky spots like the hairline. I use it a lot to wipe off the translucent powder that I apply under my eyes

Ear Cuff

Ear cuffs have all but replaced traditional earrings these days—and for good reason. Ear cuffs are really cool. Whether it’s a cartilage hoop or a sleek climber, there’s something edgy and unique about the look. That said, not all of us are so eager to abandon our everyday studs and hoops for some giant thing taking over our ear. For the minimalists among us, simpler and daintier styles are a more inviting option. Here, I’ve rounded up the chicest ear cuffs that are delicate enough to wear casually, but still pretty edgy.

Shop My Favorite Cuffs

Let me tell you, I feel like an expert on this topic. I have the worst under eye circles. They have purple undertones and are sunken in and always dehydrated looking. I have always had them and they get worse during the spring allergy season. I have tried many under eye concealers that have been recommended by beauty gurus and tried testing out drugstore brands too. I wish I could tell you that I have found the perfect one for treating severe circles but I haven’t. What I have found are ones that are much better than others! Here are my thoughts on some of them and know what what didn’t work for me, may work for you!

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer:

This is the one that I am currently using and has worked the best! A small amount goes a long way because it is thick and super pigmented. I wear the shade “light” in the winter and then “medium” in the summer months.  The tip of the tube is extremely small because if you squeeze out too much you won’t be getting it back into the tube. I squeeze a little amount onto the back of my hand and dip my concealer brush into it. It is waterproof and does not crease. I would say if you have extremely dark circles, then try this concealer before any of the other ones!

NARS Radiant Cream Concealer:

Many gurus are obsessed with this one but it does not have the coverage that I need. I wear the color chantilly. It is quite heavy and for me it turned cakey and settled into fine lines on the inside corner of under eye areas. I think that for someone that does not have dry undereyes then this would be worth a try!

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit and Corrector

This is probably my #2 after It Cosmetics. It has a thicker consistency so it is very full coverage. I use this with the BB Corrector (inLight Bisque). I don’t like how you have to basically use your finger to get it out but it does stay all day. I use the loose powder over the in the concealer compact then to set it with.

Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer

This is definitely thick and full coverage. If you’re wanting to cover acne or harsh blemishes I would highly recommend this concealer. For undereyes, it’s nice when applied, but fades throughout the day!

MAC Pro Longwear Concealer (not pictured)

I’ve tried it every way I know how and with moisturizers, under eye primers, both, brushes, beauty blenders, fingers…..mostly I end up looking like the Crypt Keeper with huge cracking dryness. It works great as a concealer for blemishes but not for my undereyes.

Drugstore Tries:

NYX Dark Circle Concealer

Like all Nyx products the price is great for the quality. The texture is very nice, It’s creamy and silky but the coverage is very light when using your fingers. I use it under the Bye Bye undereye because it helps cancel out some of the blue-ish tones but I could not wear this alone.

Maybelline Coverstick Corrector Concealer

THIS PRODUCT IS HORRID. this was a last minute purchase. This concealer doesn’t blend very well. I thought it went on pretty smoothly, at first. once you start blending the product out it becomes flakey, making your skin appear dry.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Concealer (not pictured)

I purchased the lightest color to brighten up my eye area after watching a favorite YouTube makeup guru of mine. Unfortunately it did not conceal my under eye circles but instead made them more noticeable and prominent. I used a damp beauty blender and concealer brush; both had same results. It also creases very easily. I do not have it pictures because I threw it away

Bobbi Brown Art Stick Liquid Lip c/0

Bobbi Brown has done is again with their newest liquid lipstick that I like to think of as a lipstick tube because you give it a squeeze (gently you only need a little), swipe it across your lips, and go. The formula  formula is highly pigmented, long-lasting, hydrating, and lightweight. Honestly, it took me forever just to get the swatches to come off of my arm so I know it will last forever on lips. Right now there are 16 shades including reds, nudes, pinks, and plums.
