Currently Courting: Favorite Apps

I have a collection of favorite apps that I use all of the time, and I thought I’d share them with all of you today. I’ve limited it down to five and I chose to leave on the ones that everyone uses like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram because let’s be honest- I don’t have to introduce you to those!

1. Viggle

If you have not tried out Viggle, you need to! Viggle samples the audio from your TV and checks you into whatever you are watching. You then earn 1 point per minute for any show or movie that you are watching. You can also earn bonus points for certain shows or on certain days. I usually earn the majority of my points during the football games on Sundays. You can then redeem your points for gift cards, deals, or products. I cannot remember the last time I actually paid for Starbucks!

2. White Noise

I use this app  when I’m traveling and have to get to sleep in a silent place. I am one of those people that has to have a fan running or some type of noise in order to sleep. This app works like a charm. I put it to either the fan sound or running water and I go right to sleep.

I love Instagram and use it all the time but I also love Fotor. It is another photo editing tool that has numerous filters and tools for help customize a photo. You can then upload the pictures to all social media, including Instagram. My favorite filters are the Nashville and Pittsburgh.

4. Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock

A friend introduced me to this app and I immediately tried it. The idea is that it analyzes your sleep patterns and then it will wake you up when you are in your lightest sleep so you wake up feeling refreshed.

5. Flipboard

Flipboard allows you to “flip” through their social-networking feeds and feeds from websites that have partnered with the company. You can import your Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter into the feed too. I like reading through the “Flipboard Picks”” section because they always have interesting stories that you normally do not read about in the news. I can then save those stories to refer to later.
One of my favorite parts about this app is that the pages actually “turn” so you feel like you are reading an actual paper.

Leave me a comment and let me know your favorite apps too. I’m always looking for new finds!
