So many of you have asked me before about what type of workout I do and to be honest that is a hard question to answer. I had a long term relationship with swimming from about the time I was born until college. I swam competitively and trained for hours everyday. After that chapter closed, I dated and broke up with running, yoga, pilates, and am still trying to decide if I want to keep seeing cross fit. While I love the workout, I do not consider myself a true cross fitter because I do not do it everyday or embrace the lifestyle that goes along with it.  I like desert too much! One constant, however, has always been my treadmill. I try to get on it at least five times a week. Sometimes it is just walking briskly for 30 minutes. Sometimes when I am having a bad day, I hike up the incline and pretend like I am climbing a mountain. Sometimes I run and sometimes my attempt at a 30 minute treadmill workout is the most pathetic thing you have ever seen. Either way, it accepts me back every time and with the New Year, I am going to try the couch to 5k app and give running another go.     I’ve tried the couch to 5K app and I really loved it! I’m definitely not a runner and my knees sometimes hurt from too much exertion, but the build up with this app was really nice and made it really easy to get to the point of being able to run a 5K.
