I wouldn’t describe myself as a hair junkie but lately, my hair has been so up and down that I have had to invest in some new products. This cold weather has affected it more than it ever has before and I am stuck making up a prescription for dry, lifeless hair. So far, I have not used any heat on it for November and I’m going to try and continue that until the end of the month. With that being said, I have found some new products that seem to be working to help this natural hair November month run smoothly.
Biotin– I like to call Biotin “hair food” because it helps my hair grow faster and does wonders for my nails.
John Freida Beach Blonde Sea Salt Spray– One of my absolute favorite products for natural wavy hair. I put it on after I towel dry it and just let it air dry (more on the relaunch of this product later)
Alterna Cleanse Extend Translucent Dry Shampoo– I normally wash my hair every other day but with this dry weather, it has been about every 4 days. I try to also extend it to a 5th day with this new dry shampoo that I found which is eco friendly. I get it in the sugar lemon scent and have tried the mango coconut too. The original scent has more of a musky smell which tends to give me a headache so I personally do not like that one.
Davines Nounou Nourishing Repairing Mask for Dry and Brittle Hair- This product is perfect for dry, color-treated, damaged hair. It’s a complete life saver, stays in hair, follicles completely absorb product. I still love using my coconut oil but right now, it needs some more help.
Sephora Seamless Hair Ties– Since I have also been putting my hair up more, these hair ties are a must. I wish I had one in every color but for now I will stick with the neutrals. You can just use them by themselves or cover up your pony tail holder for a more polished look. They pretty much have these everywhere but I was already buying someone from Sephora so I tacked them on too.
