One of the ways we express ourselves and set ourselves apart from others is by accessorizing with the jewelry that we wear.I usually am someone that goes through jewelry phases where I wear one piece of jewelry for a while and then end up finding something else that I love and exclusively start wearing that. I do it with sterling silver, rose gold, gold, white gold, etc. The necklace that I am currently wearing, I have had on for about a month now but no matter what phase I am going through, I always wear my charm bracelet.
I think that charm bracelets or necklaces are the most unique way to express your individuality and show your creatively. My charm bracelet is valuable and special to me in so many ways. Each bead on the bracelet represents either a single moment, person, or idea that means the most to me. Some beads have more literal meanings, while a few have personal meanings that remind me of certain times in my life.
I thought I would share the current beads that I have and a few that I will get at some point.
Bracelet– I decided on a very simple silver bracelet so that it would not be flashy and would blend in with the charms. You should measure your wrist and then go one size up to make room for the charms.
K-Charm– self explanatory
Cross Charm – I think the cross represents different things to various people. I wear it because it reminds me who I am.It just helps me feel a bit more centered towards God at different parts of my day when I need him.
Scissors and Bow Charm– The scissors reminds me of sewing scissors which is linked to my grandma. She is an amazing sewer, quilter, crocheter, etc.She is the most remarkable person that I know. It reminds me that having her in my life is one of the greatest gifts I have been given.
Apple Charm– It reminds me that as a teacher, I have the ability to make a positive impact on my students and that I need to teach students through example to be kind, respectful, humble, patient and determined.
If you have a bracelet or are getting one, let me know your favorite charms:)
