5 Hair Products I can’t live without

Wet Brush– A friend first put me on to these brushes about 2 years ago and it’s all I’ve been using since.I have long (down to about the top of my lower back), thick, wavy hair and it is a pain to comb. It is effective in detangling both wet and dry hair. I wish I had this brush when I was younger! I also love the  Tangle Teaser for dry hair. The bristles aren’t as soft so it really gets all the hair that is underneath. If you haven’t had luck with the wet brush, then try the tangle teaser!

Unite  7 Second Detangler– This stuff is the best! It’s lightweight and never greasy, with protein for stronger hair. In fact, it’s different from applying oil or any other leave-in conditioner because as soon as you apply it, it soaks in, instead of covering strands. It works without adding build-up or a heavy feeling. All I do is towel dry my hair (which usually leaves it in a wavy state filled with tangles and knots), spritz it with the 7Seconds conditioner, and wait just seven seconds. Then, I comb through my hair with my wet brush or tangle teaser. I usually let my hair air-dry but people have said that it makes blow-drying faster too.

It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product– I’ve mentioned this spray before. It is similar to the Unite 7 Second detangler. My hair stylist told me that I needed this product after I had colored my hair too much in a short period of time.  It delivers ten benefits: repairs, adds shine, tames frizz, protects color, detangles, prevents split ends, curbs breakage, softens, boosts body, and protects hair from heat. I think it has a strong floral scent so if you are someone that is sensitive to smells, I would recommend Unite 7 over this.

Davines OI Oil– I’m going to be honest, this oil is super pricey.  I was finding that Moroccan oil was not working for my hair anymore and was leaving it super weighed down. I was recommended this product and so far I love it. It is light weight enough so that it doesn’t weigh your hair down/make it look greasy, and it smells lovely. It strengthens your mane over time and it comes packed with antioxidant-rich roucou oil that helps prevent hair aging and breakage.

Moroccan Sea Salt Spray– I use this a ton in the summer because I hate using heat on my hair. I spray this all over my damp hair and then scrunch it. Some people then blow dry with a diffuser but I just let mine air dry. It gives your hair that beachy look and for only $8.

#1 Always be Polite

Have you ever had to interact with someone and found it really hard to get along? Often a good first impression is key, and it really does affect how polite people will be to you. We can all be a little kinder to the people with whom we interact.

#2  Get Up Early

Now, I’ll admit that I love sleep. A lot.  In order to make the most out of my day, I go to bed early, get up early, eat a good breakfast and spend time time thinking about my schedule for the day.

#3 Trust Yourself/ Be Confident

I can always tell who is faking confidence and they are the ones that are unsure of their decisions.  I try to always trust my gut and go with what I personally think is right. I trust how I was raised and that helps me to believe in myself and my ideas.

#4 Be Classy

Even if I do not agree with something, I still try to disagree in a friendly way. I also think part of being classy means making sure you are not pointing the finger and simply work on making situations right. It’s tacky to place blame, even if it is someone else’s fault.

#5 Do Not Always Take Everything to Heart (Still working on this one)

In this world there are a lot of things that can affect your self esteem, especially in a workplace with all females. I have had to learn to have thick skin and not let other people’s opinions affect how I feel about myself. I know that I can’t please everyone and I always try to remember that no one can change how I feel about myself except for me.

What are some that you would add to the list?
